   Joanne G. Linowes, Head Coach at LXDi, is originator of acclaimed techniques for impressive and winning presentations, and the Beyond-the-Handshake method for enhancing business development. Based in Boston, her clients span the U.S. and reach others from the UK, Central America, Australia, and Asia. Her expertise is in helping those with technical, scientific, design, or quantitative backgrounds enhance their ability to present ideas influentially.
   She presents regularly at professional conferences and national conventions, including American Institute of Architects, (AIA), state transportation agencies, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), Build Boston, Society for Design Administration. Ms. Linowes is published frequently in trade journals and publications, including Banker and Tradesman's Structures and Commercial Real Estate Monthly, Design Firm Management Report (DFMAR),and PSMJ's Rainmaker, where she serves on the editorial board.

She has created and webcast internet seminars for continuing education and is author of Acquiring the Competitive Edge: Essential Communications Strategies for Design Professionals. Her new book, The Savvy Presenter: 100 Tips for Mastering Presentations, is due out in January 2010.
Ms. Linowes is a member of ACEC/Massachusetts and the Boston Society of Architects. She is on the Board of Directors of the Design Build Institute of America/NE region. She is an active volunteer and board member in her community, organizes community seminars on Aging With Dignity, and does publicity for nonprofit organizations.
Previously, she was an executive producer and national promotion director for programs on WGBH television and radio, and the PBS network.
Ms. Linowes holds a B.S. from Boston University and a M.S. in educational communications from The University of Pennsylvania.
